The vesak festival which is on the 18th and 19th of this month is being celebrated by hanging colourful lanterns and flags by the buddists all around the island. This year being the 2600,Sambudhathwa Jayanthi,the sellers are hoping for a big profit this time.Bamboo sticks are cut and the vesak lantern frames are being made in the shops.
